Lookie at what I can do!!!

Here we go!!! It's finally finished! My Mom's afghan turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I'm quite proud of it. Obviously the pictures don't do it justice and I'm not the best picture taker in the world either. I can't wait for her to open it. As a side note, I finished a pair of socks as well and started on Sharon's (my sister).

Nearly there!

Ok, so I got the four Christmas stockings, two scarves done and the last square on my Mom's afghan done!!! Just the border and I'm done. I'll be done in time for Christmas. Gotta finish a pair of socks before I start on Sharon's but that won't take long at all. My knitting needles are SMOKIN'!! I'm actually excited to start crosstitching and doing specialty stitching again. Get some of that cleared out as well.

Oh man!

Wow! It's been what...hang on...gotta get out my fingers and toes to count all this up...a year and nine months since my last post. Being single kinda hinders what you post, I think. No kids, no husband, etc. Nothing much ever happens in my life. I stitch, work, stitch some more and then stitch again. What can I say it's my passion, addiction, life! Love it! Trying to think of anything major...nope B O R I N G (does getting into pinterest count?)

I get to go home in 43 days but who is counting? Jesse is now 7 and Dalton is now 5. I haven't seen them in two years. Tickets last year were $800 so I stayed in Utah. Even though I talk to my Mom and sister it's not the same as seeing them. You know I'll be posting some pictures then!

Projects I'm working on now: More Christmas stockings (see older post for picture), two pairs of socks, my Mom's afghan and just finished my Aunt Julie's cat sampler. Again, stitching is my passion, addiction, life!

Blog with y'all later!

Christmas 2010

This is where I start crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. I have started not only thinking about Christmas presents but started making them. Here's just a few of the things I have going on:

Cardigan by Knitting Pure and Simple and I'm doing it in a charcoal gray variegated yarn.

Now this scarf is something I've always wanted to do but heard it's hard so here goes nothing!

This little doozy here is an ongoing project!! I had this one 3/4 of the way done when someone decided it would be oooh so much fun to steal my car and throw it away. I'm at it again for this year and I will get it done!

This is a new one from Long Dog Samplers that I fell in love with and will do in a denim blue variegated silk thread.

Now you may be thinking to yourself that these colors are HORRIBLE for this stocking but trust me I do them in much better colors :-)

These projects do not include the side projects I'm trying to get done for me and other folks. This is what I love and crave to do so it's not a taunting task at all. Ask me again at Christmas and I'm frantically stitching trying to get everything done :-)
